Have you ever imagined that your network/security admin knows about the every move you make on the internet. He can read all your emails (even your personal ones), can read you chat live & know what are you doing on the internet ??
What the hell ?? YES... but thats true and all this is made possible by a technology called Data Leakage Prevention (DLP). So, lets talk about DLP today...
What is DLP ?
Well.. I would say DLP is a bundle of technolgies working toward the stemming the loss of sensitive information, which can occur in any company.. big or small, enterprise or SMB... Today preventing data theft had become a major challenge for every company.
DLP can scan all your traffic on the fly or can even perform deep packet inspection to check that no mail, chat, uploads (Web, FTP or anything else) is carrying any sort of information, which has been marked confidential by the company.
